The International Federation for Human Rights is an NGO that brings together 164 human rights organizations around the world. They stand for the "universality of rights, in particular those of women and migrants, whose - inequitable treatment constitutes a major obstacle for the progress of mankind," and has regular contact with organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, and the Council of Europe. I personally feel that the "about us" part of their website isn't overly well designed and their mission and how they go about accomplishing it isn't explicitly stated, so perhaps it would be beneficial to look at the wikipedia entry for the NGO. FIDH's website also has a handy page with reports, videos, news, and statements regarding human rights and terrorism, the death penalty, women, globalization, and more.
